How to weld two plastic filament?
Here, is the procedure to weld two plastics filaments:
Heat the EasyWelder.
Cut the ends of filament, although perpendicularly.
Insert the filament in the Holding Plate, into the groove corresponding to the filament diameter (1.75mm, 2.85mm or 3mm) until they overlap 2 to 3 mm. No more.
When the clip is hot enough (2 minutes) tight the Holding Plate in the jaws of the EasyWelder. Ensure that the two plastics filaments are correctly in the groove.
Put the anti-adhesive paper.
Heat for 7 seconds a 1.75mm PLA filament. Heat 20 to 55 seconds a 2.85/3mm PLA filament. The heating time is adapted to each feature of plastic filament. Tests must be made to find the right heating time. Pressing gently.
Wait at least 30 secondes to cool the filament.
Remove the anti-adhesive paper.
Debur the filament.
Remove the welded filament from the Holding Plate.
Inspect the solder to ensure it's quality.
Scrape the filament.
